OpenMetaverse library:
The original project developed an open source library implementing
the protocols for exchanges between a Second Life viewers and servers.
Apparently some code was developed as part of Google Code. It is
unclear whether the original project was closed or forked.
There is
source code
on GitHub. It is unclear whether this is being actively maintained.
