The CS4983 report usually will be a critical analysis of some appropriate topic. A required component of an appropriate topic will be a suitable literature survey, including a significant bibliography. Most students spend about 70-80 person- hours on CS4983. Each CS4983 student is responsible for the selection of a report topic and the agreement of a CS professor to act as Supervisor; a work-related topic will require an external Supervisor as well as the internal CS supervisor.
Prerequisite: CS 3997.
