There is an exercise to help you learn the syntax (mostly based on LaTeX)
In particular you need
- '_' for subscripts: type
x_i
for "xⁱ" - '^' for superscripts: type
x^2
for "x²" - '*' for multiplication: type
a*b
for "a × b" - 'epsilon' to enter 'ε'
- '_' for subscripts: type
Note that
i
,e
, andpi

, pay attention. You probably wantStay on Page
.I recommend that you use paper and pen/pencil to work out your solutions; this will help you enter your answers quickly in case you have to restart (although be aware numbers may change).
If the system cannot parse your answer when you click submit, the box will be reddish with a dashed border. You can click the box for more information. Until you click
