iPhone Development for Experienced Programmers

Development for the iPhone platform is enjoying a huge growth in popularity based on the surge in iPhone sales as the leader of the smartphone market as well as the rich and comprehensive libraries. This 6 evening (June 13-15 and 20-22) hands-on course provides an overview of developing iPhone applications for professionals who are already familiar with some other programming language. The primary objective is to introduce the fundamentals of the language, to help participants become comfortable searching through the different forms of official documentation, and provide an exposure to a variety of the user interface conventions used on the mobile device. Object-oriented programming is described in a practical manner, with examples that show in detail how to apply the concepts. Hands-on exercises reinforce learning by allowing students to try out each topic immediately. Each participant has a dedicated iMac for this purpose.
